Just a quick update from the group this week!
Recently the Sheffield Steelers reached out to the group to invite the members and families down to see the team play against Manchester on the 23rd. We had members and parents attend from across all sections and it was a great day out, and a first time experience of ice hockey for many of us, including the leaders! And the Steelers ended up winning, to nicely round off the trip!
A huge “thank you!” to the Steelers for reaching out to us and inviting us along for the day, everyone that made it had an amazing time!
Halloween this year falls on our normal Cub meeting night, so all three sections have been invited along for a group wide party! Fancy dress is encouraged and there is no need to bring uniforms along – There will be fun and games for all the members, with some cooked food over a fire organized by the Scout section! The session on the 31st will run from 6:30pm, until 8pm for the Beavers and Cubs; and the Scouts have been asked to attend 6pm until 8:30pm to help setting up and packing away.
There will be no regular Beaver or Scout meetings this week, and £2 subs are owed like usual for this week, payable on the night, or at your next meeting. There is no additional charge to attend the party.
All three sections return to their regular meeting nights for the following week.
Later in the year, we will be looking at our usual Christmas Party at the Wincobank Village Hall, and we are going to be looking at organizing a Winter Sleepover for sometime in Jan/Feb 2023; but more news on these closer to the time!
