Hello all!

Welcome to the new 61st Wincobank Scouts website!

We have been thinking for a while about finally replacing the old website that one of our members made for the Troop back in 2014 as part of a school project and badge work, and one of us finally got round to looking into it.

We are going to look at posting updates here about the troop, upcoming events, meetings and news going forward. We might look at doing more things with the site moving forward, so we would appreciate any feedback or suggestions!

One of the main reasons for doing this however is so we have a better way of staying in contact with our local community, volunteers and families asking for information about what we offer. There was an old email address someone had made for the troop, but that hadn’t been accessed since 2014! So with the launch of this site, we have a new email that we promise to monitor this time: 61stsheffieldscouts@gmail.com

This inbox will be monitored by Alex (Beaver Scout Leader) and Karen (Cub Scout Leader), and we will be able to coordinate with the rest of the team about enquiries coming in.

I will be looking to keep the site updated as much as I can going forward. However for active members of our Group, we maintain a private Facebook group to post pictures and give updates of what the sections have been up to. To be given access to this, please contact your section leaders. This site will be for more public facing purposes, so there won’t be any photos of members, unless we have consent to do so from the parents – other wise just expect more scenic views of campsites moving forward.
